FEFCO 330: The Box That's Got You Covered (Twice)

What is the FEFCO 330?

The FEFCO 330 is a telescoping-style corrugated box that consists of a 2-piece construction. The top component slides over and fits snugly on top of the bottom component, providing a double layer on the sides, meaning it’s got your back twice. When using the Slimbox to create the perfectly-fit FEFCO 330, this overlapping design gives your products a snug and secure fit.

Why use the FEFCO 330?

The FEFCO 330 The overlapping flaps at the ends of the box provides 8 layers of corrugated, and with the 2 extra layers on the sides, this box has got you covered multiple times over when protecting your product. Our FEFCO 330 also uses a “friction lock”, where the box structure is held in place with a strong hold created by the natural tension in the corrugated material, eliminating the need for glue or tape when assembling the box, which cuts down on the time needed to assemble it. When to use the FEFCO 330?

Got something large and bulky, oddly-shapped, long, or fragile? The FEFCO 330 is an ideal solution. Because each box is custom-sized with Slimbox, it’s especially useful for providing:

• Extra protection on the edges and sides

• A snug fit to reduce movement-induced damage within the package

• Packaging for long items that standard box sizes wouldn’t fit

Despite this box being two separate components, it is extremely quick and easy to assemble, and allows for an efficient packaging flow.

Slimbox Software

This box is available for selection when your WMS/ERP/Backoffice is linked to the Slimbox software, as it can handle most product types and dimensions.

Handling

Step 1: Assemble the bottom component by lifting and folding the sides.

Step 2: Activate the “friction lock” by folding over the long flaps on the end to lock it in place.

Step 3: Place your product inside the bottom component.

Step 4: Assemble the top component in the same manner as the bottom component.

Step 5: Slide the top component over the product and the bottom component.

Step 6: Secure the box with tape or strapping machine.
