Updated: Jul 31

Our latest software update is here. Slimbox is dedicated to improving and enhancing the user experience of using our software and machines, ensuring a smooth packaging experience. This update, launching at the beginning of August in 2025, includes a 10% boost in speed, a personalized box model catalogue, and more. Read on to the end of this post to learn about the changes that will be forthcoming in the next software update.

Speed Upgrade

The path of the laser within the machine has been optimized, which will give a substantial increase in speed by up to 10%.

Machine Controls Redesign

The Machine Controls have moved from the Settings section into its own easily accessible popup window that can be pinned to the screen, providing quick and easy access to the controls from every page within the Slimbox app. Setting the loaded cardboard type for your machine can now be done from this menu or the print queue. If you have multiple machines installed at your client site, you can easily switch controls between them.

Personalized Box Catalogue

This new feature will allow the Slimbox team to curate a personalised catalogue of box models, including custom box models, for each client.

Order & Filter Box Catalogue

There are now several ways to order and arrange the box model catalogue via a dropdown menu:

  • Alphabetical

  • Recents

  • Classic

Box models can now be ‘liked’ and filtered through the catalogue for your convenience. This way you can choose to only display a handful of your most relevant models.

SVG Menu Redesign

Previously, importing SVGs and adding them to an order was done in two separate menus. These are now merged and provide a more seamless experience with SVGs.

Favorites Upload

Clients with a large catalogue of products with different measurements need a way to quickly create favorites for these products. This can now be done with a CSV upload feature for Favorites.

Display Size in Order Menu

Previously, the size of an order was displayed in the Print Queue after the order was confirmed. The size will now be displayed in the Order menu.

Cut-Off Fix

The Cut-off is now functional again, allowing the user to manually cut the paper.

What's Next?

  • Notification Center: A new notification center will allow us to easily communicate information to the user, such as new features.

  • Improvements to sending orders to the machine: new features such as a ‘duplicate order’ button and a quantity counter allows for a quicker ordering process.

  • New features for multiple machines on a single site such as selecting a default machine.

  • Quick Search feature and a Send to Queue button will be added to the Favorites menu.

  • A button will be added to send past orders from the Order History back to the Order menu, so the user can edit and print the order again.

Customers can always reach out their account manager for more info or questions.

It feels so personal with the theme of holding on to bonds. In this age of virtual connection, Free Group Greeting Cards are an ideal method to maintain the bonds.

Reading your post made me grin and think of my own experience. Indeed, Goodbye cards are gems that convey emotions much deeper than words.
